ABOUT US
Our Mission
We are a volunteer based 501c3 non profit group that formed in January of 2024. A group of women, all from different professional backgrounds, ages, and different experiences with animal welfare came together with one common goal-
To advocate for our homeless pets in Calhoun county and be a positive resource for existing pet owners.
Our mission is to promote programs and events that are beneficial to the pet owners in our community, while also working to highlight educational and support resources that will benefit existing and new pet owners.
We hope that we can make a positive impact on the reduced rates of owner surrender, which keeps additional animals out of the already over burdened shelter system.
We do not shelter, rescue, or foster animals, but we support and advocate for those that do.

We are committed to improving the lives of animals through advocacy and community outreach. Our compassionate team works tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve. Join us in our mission to protect and support our furry friends.
OUR WORK
We are currently working on 2 initiatives - FREE MICROCHIPPING AND PET PANTRY
FREE MICROCHIPPING EVENTS - Our first microchipping event was Aug 17 and we chipped 179 dogs and cats. Every pet chipped has a greater chance of being reunited with their family in the event they are lost or become a stray. We have our 2nd event planned for October 12 in Jacksonville – see event calendar?
We will host 3 free microchipping events in 2025 and are already planning our first one . We are coming to you OXFORD!!!
PET PANTRY - We are also in the process of becoming a pet pantry for Calhoun County through the Greater Goods organization. This will allow us to purchase dog and cat food and supplies at a discounted rate per pound. We will be able to create community outreach by working with local food pantries to identify pet owners that may need help with feeding their pets. We feel like this program will also allow us to identify other needs of pet owners that we can help with in the future.
We are passionate that all animals in Calhoun county are cared for and protected.

Microchip Day Event

Our recent Microchip Day event was a huge success, providing identification and safety to many beloved pets in the community.
