ABOUT US
We’re a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by a group of local women united by a shared passion for animal welfare in Calhoun County. Our mission is to support pet owners through community programs, education, and resources—while advocating for homeless pets and the organizations that serve them. Though we don’t shelter or rescue animals ourselves, we proudly support those who do.
We are committed to improving the lives of animals through advocacy and community outreach.
Join us in our mission to protect and support our furry friends.

Our Work

MICROCHIPPING
AACC offers free microchipping to help keep pets safe and ensure they find their way home if lost. We aim to host microchip events as often as possible throughout Calhoun County.

PET PANTRY
AACC provides a pet pantry to help families facing temporary financial hardship keep their pets fed and cared for. We offer dog and cat food, along with basic supplies, through community donations. Our goal is to supporting pet owners when they need it most.

DOG HOUSE INITIATIVE
We build and deliver sturdy, weather-resistant dog houses to outdoor pets in need. This effort helps ensure dogs have a safe, comfortable space—especially during extreme weather.
